Grants and operations infrastructure for nonprofits.
Writing, editing, and tutoring for individuals.

I build the systems that keep nonprofits running, teach and tutor students who need more than a classroom offers, and write and edit for people who need the words exact.

Grants & Operations

Where I help nonprofits

Most of this work happens inside organizations that are small by design but international by necessity — a handful of staff spread across time zones, currencies, and legal jurisdictions, answering to funders who each want something slightly different.

LIFECYCLE

Grants lifecycle management

Prospecting, proposal development, budget construction, compliance tracking, and narrative and financial reporting, run as one continuous system instead of separate fire drills.

SYSTEMS

CRM build-out

Salesforce and Airtable environments built to track relationships, deadlines, and disbursements, so grant status lives in one place instead of someone's memory.

MEASUREMENT

MEL frameworks

Monitoring, evaluation, and learning structures that produce reportable evidence without turning program staff into full-time data entry.

STRUCTURE

Cross-border compliance

Budgeting and reporting across currencies and legal structures, including guidance for organizations navigating Dutch stichting registration and funder eligibility across the Netherlands, Morocco, and the US.

Writing & Editing

Words that need to be exact

I write and edit at the level foreign policy and funder-facing work demands: precise, sourced, and legible to people who will push back on every claim.

ANALYSIS

Policy & foreign affairs writing

Longform analysis on US foreign policy and North Africa, written for a general but informed audience. Ongoing work published under my own byline.

FACT-CHECKING

Research & sourcing

Fact-checking and sourcing support for political journalism, including reporting on civil society and rights issues in North Africa.

EDITING

Editing & proofreading

Line editing and proofreading for essays, reports, and funder narratives, with an eye for the argument as much as the sentence.

GHOSTWRITING

Drafting & ghostwriting

First drafts and structural rewrites for people who know what they want to say but need help saying it clearly.

Tutoring

Teaching, one on one

Four years teaching in Morocco, from EFL classrooms to a national debate championship, now applied to individual students who need something more direct than a classroom can offer.

CORE SUBJECTS

Middle & high school tutoring

Science, math, and English language arts, built around each student's actual coursework rather than a generic curriculum.

LANGUAGE

EFL & language instruction

CELTA-certified English language teaching, drawing on years of classroom experience with adult and teenage learners.

SPEECH

Debate & public speaking

Coaching built on the same methods that took a debate team to a national championship: structured argument, delivery, and thinking on your feet.

WRITING

Writing instruction

Essay structure, argumentation, and revision, for students who need to write clearly under a deadline as much as a scholar.

About

Background

My path here runs through twelve years working internationally: three years with the Peace Corps in youth development in Morocco, several years teaching and coaching debate in Rabat and Casablanca, and now several years building grants infrastructure for a feminist research platform operating between the Netherlands, Morocco, and the United States. I hold an MS in International Relations from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, work in Moroccan Arabic and Spanish alongside English, and understand every side of a funder relationship, from the compliance a Northern funder needs to the operating reality of a team coordinating across three countries and time zones. The same instinct for precision and structure carries over into my writing and tutoring work.
